Product Overview

JY Robot differential drive modules integrate twin drive wheels, servo motors, reduction gearing and a modular mounting structure. Vehicle travel, turning and pivot rotation are achieved by controlling the speed difference between the two driven wheels.

The series is available with multiple wheel diameters, motor powers, gear ratios, load capacities and tractive-force configurations. It is suitable for underride AMRs, warehouse transport robots, production-line logistics platforms and medium- to heavy-duty mobile equipment.

Motor, encoder, brake, wheel tread and interface configurations can be selected according to vehicle load, travel speed, installation space, floor conditions and control architecture.

AGV Differential Drive Wheel Module for 1–8 Ton Platforms

For AGV and AMR chassis, a differential drive wheel module uses two independently controlled drive wheels to provide straight travel, turning and zero-radius pivoting without a separate steering mechanism. This makes the architecture suitable for low-profile mobile robots, warehouse transport vehicles and heavy-duty material-handling platforms where chassis space and load capacity are important.

JY Robot offers dual-wheel differential drive units covering 1,000 to 8,000 kg load capacities with multiple wheel diameters, motor powers, gear ratios and tractive-force configurations. Selection should be based on driven-wheel load, required travel speed, acceleration, gradeability, floor condition and available installation space rather than vehicle gross weight alone. Motor, encoder, brake and wheel-tread options can be matched to the vehicle and control system.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does an 8-ton differential drive module automatically fit every 8-ton AGV?

No. Vehicle gross weight alone is not enough for drive-module selection. The actual load carried by the driven wheels, acceleration, required speed, gradeability, rolling resistance, floor condition and chassis layout all affect the required tractive force and wheel load. For heavy-duty projects, these values should be checked before confirming the module.

What information is required for model selection?

Please provide the vehicle gross weight, estimated driven-wheel load, required travel speed, maximum grade, floor condition, available installation envelope, system voltage and project quantity. If available, a chassis drawing or mounting-space drawing can help shorten the selection process.

Can the drive-wheel tread be changed for different floor conditions?

Wheel-tread selection can be reviewed according to floor material, traction requirement, noise, wear and load conditions. Polyurethane and other suitable tread configurations can be discussed during application review.

Can the motor, encoder and brake configuration be adjusted?

Motor power, feedback, brake and control-related configurations can be reviewed according to the vehicle design and control system. Final availability depends on the selected module and project requirements.

Can prototype quantities be supplied for vehicle testing?

Prototype quantities can be reviewed for AGV and AMR development projects. Please send the required quantity together with the main application parameters so that configuration, lead time and technical compatibility can be confirmed.
